My work exists at the intersection of narrative and form—where fleeting moments are shaped into lasting visual statements. Each project is constructed with purpose, moving beyond documentation into a more deliberate study of presence, intensity, and identity. I’m drawn to the tension between motion and stillness, light and shadow, control and unpredictability—capturing not just what unfolds, but what defines it. From the raw energy of competition to the quiet weight of personal milestones, these bodies of work are developed over time, allowing each subject’s story to emerge with clarity and depth. This is not about isolated images. It is about building a visual language—one that feels immediate, intentional, and enduring.
The images presented within each project are not isolated captures, but carefully selected moments within a larger visual narrative. Each frame is chosen for its ability to convey tension, atmosphere, and authenticity—whether through the controlled chaos of competition, the stillness between movements, or the subtle expressions that often go unseen.
My process is both observational and intentional. I work within the rhythm of the environment, anticipating moments as they develop while shaping them through composition, light, and timing. Rather than imposing a scene, I refine what already exists—allowing subjects to remain grounded in their own presence.
Along the way, each project generates a collection of artifacts: contact sheets, sequencing studies, edited series, and final curated galleries. These elements are part of the creative evolution—mapping the transition from raw capture to cohesive body of work. Together, they form not just a portfolio of images, but a complete visual record of the experience as it unfolded.
Within this project, I served as the lead photographer and creative director, responsible for shaping the visual direction and ensuring consistency across the final body of work. My role involved not only capturing images, but also developing the narrative approach—making decisions on composition, timing, and subject focus to align with the overall vision.
To achieve this, I collaborated closely with my subjects, as well as coaches, event organizers, and members of the community connected to each setting. Building trust and maintaining clear communication were essential in creating an environment where authentic moments could unfold naturally.
The outcome of the project is a cohesive collection of images that reflects both the intensity and the nuance of the experience. Beyond the final photographs, the project resulted in a structured visual narrative—one that captures not just individual moments, but the broader story they collectively tell.
